Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Judy Schroeder along with her husband Charlie and 3 boys relocated to Virginia in 2001. They bought their dream home in Blue Ridge, Virginia, only to find out that it wasn’t their dream at all! They sold that home and purchased a house on 10 acres and began Perfect Peace Alpacas in 2007, where they bred and raised a herd of 30 Huacayas. Her true passion in the alpaca industry lies in playing with fiber. As a fiber enthusiast, she enjoys all the fiber arts, but is an avid aficionado of Crochet. After selling their herd, in 2019 Judy and her husband Charlie sold their farm and relocated to Kentucky to be closer to their adult children.

Following her passion and enthusiasm for fleece, in 2009, Judy became a Fleece Show Superintendent to her first AOBA show. Her past shows include the AOA National Fleece show each year from 2015 and National Walking Fleece Show since 2017 as well as numerous Halter, Walking Fleece, and Fleece shows throughout the country during the past 10+ years.

Additionally, she has worked with Sue Ives, Show Super Ives and Co. since 2010, and also has been an announcer for a few small shows along with her halter show clerking duties. As a veteran Homeschool mom, she enjoys mentoring new superintendents to run successful AOA fleece and walking fleece shows. In September 2018 she presented and taught at the Show Superintendent Summit Certification Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, with Sue Ives and Margie Ault. Judy is currently serving on the AOA Fleece Show Committee.
