Big Timber Locke's Kristoff's genetics are power packed on both sides. His sire is the champion Cloudypass' Accoyo Locke. Locke's multiple successes in the show ring include the 2005 Champion at the competitive GWAS show, 3rd place at AOBA Nationals and other numerous other show banners. Locke passed his great fiber and conformation characteristics on to his progeny, with his offspring taking 16 first place banners. The 2015 EPD's placed Locke in the top 1% of EPDs for fineness.
Kristoff's dam, Armani's Aurora has passed through her fabulous genetics as well. Leading this genetic package is the multi-champion DDF Accoyo Armani, PPeruvian Miquel, DDF Peruvian Macgyver and Acero Marka's Calamity Jane. Armani's Aurora has outstanding EPD rankings, in the top 2% for fineness and top 1% for fibers>30 micron. She has also demonstrated the ability to retain her fineness and SD as she ages.
Kristoff represents the best in suri genetics and exhibits a high degree of luster, fineness, uniformity and density. His fleece took Reserve Champion at the 2015 AOA National Fleece Show and first place out of ten at the 2015 Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show. No wonder when his histogram shows an amazing 14.4 micron for AFD. Kristoff is in the top 1% for AFD in the 2015 EPDs and ranks 6th out of 4497 Suri males.
Kristoff also placed well in the halter show ring, winning first at 2016 Nationals and second at 2016 Futurity as a shorn yearling. He placed first at 2015 Alpacapalooza and second place in a competitive show at 2015 GWAS as a juvenile.
His rankings in the 2016 EPDs confirms his genetic prepotence:
AFD--13 out of 4927 Top 1%
SF--28 out of 4927 Top 1%
%>30--16 out of 4927 Top 1%
Kristoff's SHIPS (Suri Herd Improvement Program) evaluation scores were a perfect 5 in all conformation categories. For fleece characteristics he scored a perfect 5 for luster, handle and uniformity of color, and a 4.5 for lock structure. He scored 4's in the areas of fineness, density and fleece phenotype and a 3.5 for uniformity of micron.
Dr. Norm Evans recently performed a skin biopsy on Kristoff with the following results.
“Big Timber Locke’s Kristoff was biopsied as a 35 month old light fawn Suri male. His 15X scan shows fiber clusters rather uniform in size, shape and placement within his connective tissue. His density measured 64.5 follicles SQ MM of skin. His average S/P ratio based is 13.4 to 1. He grades level 4 of 4 gland presence and near 40% of his secondary fibers show a degree of medullation. 100 secondary fibers averaged 17.9 microns while 50 primary fibers averaged 29.7 microns for a spread of 11.8 microns. Kristoff’s AFD on July 8, 2017 at 35 months of age figures 18.77 microns."
Kristoff is the total package and will take your herd to a higher level.
