What a JOY it is to raise these amazing animals! From the time we first saw an alpaca in 1999, to the time we purchased our first four in 2012, alpacas were in the back of our minds as a possibility for the future of our farm. It’s been an extraordinary adventure! We’ve developed this love into a sustainable alpaca business that has become our full-time endeavor, where it’s now our pleasure to share our experience with others.
Our 37 acre farm in bucolic Craig County, Virginia, now boasts three barns with approximately 50 alpacas on almost 10 acres of fenced pastures. We are fortunate to also have an amazing body of water in which to wade, swim, or fish and outstanding views of the Blue Ridge Mountains — and it’s surrounded by National Forest land with many places to hike nearby.
Our primary goal was to breed seed stock for the industry. With barely 3 years under our belts as alpaca breeders, we were graced with a truly incredible male — Man in the Moon’s Peruvian Ganymede. With 11 Championships and 4 Judges Choice awards, he rose to become the 2017 AOA National Supreme Champion! He’s a truly sensational male. We welcome you to come see him…and his offspring. He’s produced many Champions, and multiple Judges Choice winning offspring!
We began welcoming visitors to our AirBnB Cottage and Farm Store in 2021! And we expanded into agritourism to share our alpaca love. Whether you’re interested in getting a good look at alpacas for purchase, or just want to spend some relaxing time surrounded by curious alpacas and outdoor amenities, we welcome your visit!
