Hundreds of Alpacas to Compete in Centre Hall

Centre Hall, PA — Alpacas and alpaca enthusiasts, as well as fiber art enthusiasts, will soon gather in Centre Hall for the MA & PA Alpaca Pronk. For the first time, the Pennsylvania Alpaca Owners & Breeders Association (PAOBA) and Maryland Alpaca Breeders Association (MABA) will join together for a duo show. The show will be held on April 10 and 11 in the Equine Arena in the Grange Fairgrounds, Centre Hall.

What better way to learn more about the alpaca industry than to talk to hundreds of breeders and meet their alpacas face-to-face, all under one roof? Now you can. PAOBA and MABA welcome the public to this FREE event while following state and local safety regulations.

Hours are:

Saturday, April 10, 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 11, 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Alpacas will be featured in the show ring competition, comprised of classes judging conformation and fleece quality in many categories for both Suri and Huacaya alpacas.

Throughout the weekend, artisans will showcase alpaca fiber and examples of felting, fiber arts, and more. Dozens of vendors and farm displays will sell the latest alpaca fashions and hand-crafted items.
