New Mission and Vision Statement

The AOA National Education and Fiber Conference may be in the rearview mirror, but the work that came out of the Board planning meeting is clearly in front of us.

At the annual meeting, AOA President, Jennifer Hack, announced that the Board took a big step toward clarifying AOA’s Mission and Vision. We're excited to share Alpaca Owners Association’s new statements.

Our Mission

Champion the unique qualities of alpacas and encourage responsible breeding and care to ensure a thriving and sustainable alpaca industry.

Our Vision

AOA is the leading authority on alpaca ownership, breeding, and registration while fostering a strong community of alpaca enthusiasts.

The new statements provide clarity of what we do and what we aspire to be. It was our founders who visioned a growing, DNA validated U.S. alpaca herd and today, we celebrate a vibrant community of alpaca owners and enthusiasts.
