Research Registered Alpacas in the AOA Database
All paid members of Alpaca Owners Association, Inc. (AOA) have the ability to search the pedigree database in order to conduct research on alpacas. This helps alpaca owners make better buying and breeding decisions.
What Variables Can You Search By?
You can use any combination of the following variables when searching the AOA database utilizing the basic search:
- Alpaca Name/Breeder ID
- Registry Number
- Color
- Gender
- Breed
- Date of Birth
What Can I See When I Find the Alpaca I am Looking For?
Alpaca Ancestors
The upper part of this screen display information of the alpaca you choose in your search. Below that information is the Alpaca Number, Name, Gender, Date or Birth, Breeder, and color for the alpaca’s dam and sire. To see more information for the dam and sire you may click on their Alpaca Number. To view the Ancestral information four generations back you can click on the Adobe Acrobat PDF.
Alpaca Decendants
The upper part of this screen display information of the alpaca you choose in your search. Below that information is the Alpaca Number, Name, Gender, Date or Birth, Breeder and color for the alpaca’s descendants. To view more information for any of the descendants you can click on the Alpaca Number.
Alpaca Offspring
The upper part of this screen display information of the alpaca you choose in your search. Below that information is the Alpaca Number, Name, Gender, Date or Birth, Breeder and color for the alpaca’s offspring. Below that information is the Alpaca Number, Name, Gender, Date or Birth, Breeder and color for the alpaca’s offspring. To view more information for any of the offspring you can click on the Alpaca Number.
